Dr. Daniella DaPonte completed her bachelor degree in psychology at St. Thomas University in Fredericton and was awarded her Doctorate in clinical psychology (Psy.D) from the University of Moncton in October of 2017. She is a licensed psychologist since November 2018.

As part of her doctoral studies, Daniella had the opportunity to gain experience with diverse clientele. Among other practicums, she completed an advanced clinical placement as well as her internship at Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre. Her clinical training has allowed her to develop her knowledge and expertise in various fields, including general medicine, psychiatry, nephrology and oncology. She acquired experience in assessment and intervention with an adult population with various problematics, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, grief, adjustment disorders, as well as issues related to chronic disease. Daniella also has an interest in the psychological treatment of chronic insomnia. 

Daniella worked full-time at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre until December 2018. She joined the Clinic of Applied Psychology on a part-time basis in June 2018 and transitioned to a full-time practice in December 2018. She offers psychological assessment and treatment services to adults. She uses a psychotherapeutic approach that is best suited to her client's needs while being based on research evidence and best practices in clinical psychology. However, Daniella favors Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), as well as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
